Tournament Format
The tournament aims to promote diversity in all its forms and gives a different meaning to the traditional ‘mixed doubles’ (a team composed of a man and a woman). Goodmixton is innovating: three gender categories are offered (Woman, Man, Non‑binary), and in each pair, each person must belong to a different category than their partner.
Of course, trans women are welcome in the Woman category, and trans men in the Man category. All non‑binary people are welcome in the dedicated category.
The tournament is specifically designed to improve inclusion of non‑binary participants. Everyone has the possibility to communicate directly with the tournament organizers in order to play in a way that suits them on the courts (goodminton.tournois@gmail.com)

Match Format
In the morning, and subject to the number of registered teams, each team plays 5 matches consisting of two straight sets of 15 points, with no requirement for a point difference.
At the end of the morning, a ranking is established.
In the afternoon, all teams advance out of the group stage and take part in the knockout phase. The match format for the knockout phase will be communicated later.

F.A.Q.
What is Goodmixton?
Staying true to its history and to the values of tolerance, openness, and inclusivity it stands for, Goodminton is organizing a leisure badminton tournament exclusively dedicated to mixed doubles, open to everyone: GOODMIXTON!
A “mixed doubles” tournament with three gender categories… what does that mean?
Goodmixton aims to promote diversity in all its forms and to redefine the traditional concept of “mixed doubles” (usually understood as a team made up of one man and one woman).
Here, three gender categories are available: Woman, Man, Non-binary.
In each team, the two partners must be registered in two different gender categories.
Of course:
– trans women are welcome in the Woman category;
– trans men are welcome in the Man category;
– all non-binary people are welcome in the dedicated category.
Is Goodmixton a leisure tournament?
Yes, absolutely!
We are not affiliated with the French Badminton Federation (FFBaD), and Goodmixton is first and foremost an opportunity to play together, have fun, meet people, laugh, and enjoy a relaxed, carefree time.
Fair play and respect for everyone are our top priorities.
Do I register as a team or individually?
Registration is individual, but you must know the name and email address of your partner.
Blind registrations are not allowed.
Can I register without a partner (blind registration)?
No, unfortunately blind registrations are not accepted for this tournament.
You must provide your partner’s name and email address when registering.
If I have to withdraw, what happens to my playing partner?
Unfortunately, we are not able to organize a replacement for you.
However, you may find a substitute who will take your place and play with your partner, provided that the team composition still complies with the tournament’s gender mix and levels categories rules.
I am not a member of an LGBT+ badminton club in Paris. Can I still register for Goodmixton?
Yes, absolutely!
Goodmixton is a tournament open to everyone, promoting diversity not only in Paris, but across France and internationally.
You do not need to be a member of an LGBT+ association to participate.
Do my partner and I need to belong to the same club or association?
No.
You are free to form your team as you wish, as long as the tournament’s gender mix and level criteria are respected.
You may also participate without being affiliated to any club or federation.
Do I need to provide a medical certificate?
No.
However, by registering for the tournament, you certify on your honor that you are in good health and physically fit to play badminton.
What does the €15 registration fee include?
Shuttlecocks, breakfast, organizational costs… and prizes 🏆
Are shuttlecocks provided?
Yes! Victor Carbonsonic NCS shuttlecocks are provided for all matches.
Why this model?
It is FFBaD-approved and better aligned with our eco-responsibility goals.
Is lunch included in the registration fee?
No.
You can choose an optional lunch in addition to the registration fee, priced at €7.50, with a meat or vegetarian option, according to your preference.
How many spots are available for Goodmixton?
The number of spots is limited to 60 participants for this first edition (all categories combined).
This limit is due to the availability of 5 courts, and to our desire to ensure a high-quality playing and experience for everyone.
A waiting list will be set up.
Can I book all tickets and options at once when registering?
If you want to make our lives easier: yes 😄
But it’s not mandatory. You can always come back later to book, for example, a ticket for the closing party.
Can I bring friends to the closing party?
Yes!
You can purchase multiple tickets for the party, subject to availability.
